Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon cares for patients who need extraction of teeth, need surgery of oral tissue or jaw bone related problems. They also place implants as well as treat patients who have suffered facial damage.

Periodontist

A periodontist specializes in treating advanced periodontal disease, places implants and performs various periodontal surgeries, sometimes in preparation for your cosmetic makeover.

Endodontist

The endodontist limits their practice to treatment of root canals, especially difficult cases.

Orthodontist

An orthodontist specializes in dental irregularities, especially those related to malocclusions (“bad bites”). They will gently move the teeth to eliminate gaps, straighten crooked teeth or correct other misalignment problems.

Prosthodontist

The prosthodontist examines and diagnoses disabilities caused by loss of teeth and supporting structures. They formulate and execute treatment plans for the construction of corrective prostheses to restore proper function and esthetics of the mouth, face, and jaw.

A pediatric dentist focuses on management and treatment of a child’s developing teeth, child behavior, physical growth and development, and the special needs of children’s dentistry. If your child has special needs, care from a pediatric dentist may be necessary.
